I received a BA in Film Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and an MFA from Stanford University. I’m an experienced filmmaker, photographer, and graphic artist. Since I was a child I’ve been fascinated by geometric shapes. At the beginning of 2025 I downloaded an idea to make 3D printed joints of the platonic solids from what I call the universal river of consciousness. I also promised myself that I would respect my downloads. For me that means following through on this idea and seeing it to fruition. Let’s go on this journey together and see where these form take us.
About Twigonometry: The Platonic solids
★★★★★
Welcome to Twigonometry, where geometry meets nature connection! This innovative activity invites players to explore the fascinating world of sacred geometry and the five Platonic solids using twigs and 3D-printed joints. With joints designed for the five regular polyhedron — tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron — players can unleash their creativity and build a variety of stunning forms. Simply collect the specified number of twigs of approximately the same diameter and cut or snap them to the same length. Perfect for ages 8 and up, Twigonometry not only entertains but also educates, making it an ideal choice for hands-on STEM activities. Join us in this exciting journey of creativity and learning!
Positive Features
+ Encourages creativity and imagination through hands-on building activities.
+ Promotes STEM education by introducing geometric concepts in a fun way.
+ Suitable for a wide age range, making it a great family game.
Negative Features
– May require adult supervision for younger players during assembly.
– Limited to specific geometric shapes, which may not appeal to everyone.
